Dear Beloved Grandparents, whenever we youngsters are busy making ends meet and striving, we sometimes can’t answer your questions. But you don’t need to worry, we won’t neglect you after this post you may teach your grandkids anything by using AI. Two prominent of this technology could almost help you with your inquiries: chatGPT and Gemini. I’ve been using them to help me with almost any questions that come to mind. It could provide both simplicity and detail, however, it still lacks some due to ongoing improvement from time to time.
chatGPT

ChatGPT is a program that can understand and respond to text conversations, like chatting with a human. It works by using patterns from large amounts of text to generate answers, help with questions, write essays, and more. You type something, and it tries to give the best response based on what it has learned from reading a lot of information online.
Gemini

Gemini, developed by Google, is an advanced artificial intelligence system designed to perform tasks like generating text, answering questions, and understanding images. It combines natural language understanding (like ChatGPT) with the ability to analyze visuals, making it more versatile. It can help with things like writing, answering complex questions, and even interpreting pictures, making it useful for various tasks that require both language and visual processing.
We can say chatGPT and Gemini are another version of Google, Bing, or any Search Engine that we commonly use, but with an upgrade, you don’t need to open pages one by one for an answer, all you need just type the word and let it describe anything for you. For example, let’s say I want to make a list of restaurants near me within a radius of 200m.
Prompt In Using AI : chatGPT and Gemini
First, let’s learn a bit about prompts. What is a prompt? A prompt refers to the text or instruction given to an AI model to generate a response or perform a task. It’s essentially the input that triggers its processing and output. A prompt is the starting point for the AI’s work. The key unlocks the AI’s potential to generate creative, informative, or helpful responses.
Example of Using AI: chatGPT
Previously we wanted to know the names of restaurants within a radius of 200m near us
- First, we should go to Google Maps and find our location.
- Then, we click the Share button to copy the link to the clipboard.
- Next, we open chatGPT and copy-paste the link with a prompt. Here’s an example:

I write a prompt/command to find restaurants from a link that Google Maps created for sharing.

Above is that chatGPT response to the prompt I gave. However, due to internet policy, it can’t retrieve the content from the link. However, it asked me to give the coordination.

As you can see, I provided the coordinates from Google Maps and modified the prompt details. Unfortunately, Google’s policy forbids it from collecting information. However, chatGPT gave me two options: first, to use Google Maps services, and second, to recommend common restaurant chains.

Then, I accepted the suggestion and wrote another prompt to recommend the restaurant chains. As we can see from the example above, it could list or give us information on almost everything as long as it is still on the ‘surface’. The reason is due to platform restrictions and privacy reasons that prevent chatGPT and Gemini from accessing specific content behind external links or services. But, as the main service of AI is to help or guide, it means they can guide you on Google Workspace Services like Google Maps, and many more.
Example of Using AI Gemini
Let’s wrap up for chatGPT and move on to Gemini.
- It’s the same as when we write prompts in chatGPT

The difference between chatGPT and Gemini is their suggestions. While chatGPT suggestions are more like open-ended questions, Gemini’s suggestions give users creativity. But both offer tremendous help to users these days and ages by using AI. Coming up next: Create Images With AI.
